hello everyone,
i have written about this before.
i have been having balance/dizziness for over a year now. it is soooo hard to say if it is from anxiety or something else. i am so tired of having it : ( is it really possible to have this on a daily basis from anxiety?
all thoughts are appreciated.

Yes indeed you can have this from anxiety. When I was suffering with anxiety panic 24/7 a few years ago I felt dizzy,spacey,foggy,and unbalanced. It all felt strange. I don't know if it is the same for you but sounds similair to me. If you are really concerned you can have it checked out, but I know now that I am recovering it was just anxiety. And yes I did feel this way on a daily basis, but as I recovered it got better and better. Hang in there everything will be fine.

It would be hard to say what this is caused from. It could be a side effect of meds, it could be stress related or it could be 101 other things.
I would recommend talking to a family doctor about it and ruling out anything serious.
This would give you a minimum of peace of mind.

I have this dizzyness constantly. Sometimes I will wake up feeling it or I will stand up and it will hit me. This creates a lot of my anxiety. I hate it and I have been tested for everything like vertigo, inner ear infection, fluid behind my ears etc. Its very hard to get a handle on. I would say its caused by anxiety because that is the only explination the doctors would give me, but you could get checked for inner ear infection if it would make you feel better

I always feel more comforted after reading what others have to say.
I have been checked out by MANY doctors ha ha and besides being slightly anemic and mild positional vertigo I am okay.
I have taken care of the anemia and the positional vertigo was VERY MILD, so they say.
I was given that diagnosis over a year ago. I did what I was suppose to do to get rid of it yet most days I feel somewhat off, off balance at times etc...
Anxiety is so powerful and it creates such a pattern in our heads : (

I am getting ready to take a five hour flight to California, ALONE!!!! I usually fly with the family but I am going to go five days before them to meet my son who has been traveling......arrgg getting nervous......... praying I feel good that day and the dizziness does not rear it's ugly head!!!!
FAITH not fear!!! COURAGE!!!!
Any words of encouragement?

If you dont't think about being dizzy, you won't be! That's my problem. I worry about what is going to happen, that I make it happen! Please think of your son and how happy it will be to see him again and just have fun. Give yourself permission to feel a little anxious on the flight, but remember EVERYTHING will be ok!!! I don't know if you are religious or not, but you can always pray. And remember God want's you to have a good time. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to you so don't want that for yourself!! A geat book to read on the flight to keep your mind occupied is "Your best Life Now" by Joel Olsteen. He is VERY Inspirational. He along with Lucinda has been very good for me. It's a book about how to live your life, not overtly religious. Also, "The Last Lecture" is an awesome book also VERY inspirational. Good luck and have a great Trip!!

Anyway.......thanks for the great post and the inspirational words! I really appreciate it!!!
A friend of mine gave me the book you mentioned years ago before a flight. I read a bit of it but because I just happened to be sitting next to Maria Shriver I had a hard time concentrating : )

Hi all,
Coco, i have had these similiar symptoms for about 3 months now. In the past, i have had other body symptoms, but this is the latest and by far the most annoying and concerning. I too have gone to my internist, ear doctor, and even a neurologist, and i have had a cat scan but not an MRI. Basically, each of them, especially the neurologist said that i had deep-rooted anxiety(which i already know) and i should consider medication, period. This has been somewhat satisfying to me, but not totally to be honest. I am on my 9th week of the program WITH a coach, and StressCenter coach is SO sure that my head symptoms are that of anxiety. I also have a rising and falling sensation that comes on/off throughout the day - now i can see that if i am talking to someone stressful or my child is making me upset, it also comes on. Are you doing the 15 week program?

Thanks for the reply. I did the program years ago and worked with a coach as well. Back then I was having derealization and anxiety. I did not know that I was having derealization either did the coach. I thought I was loosing my mind!!!
The anxiety has gotten much better however I am still a bit fearful, hesitant, and not living my life to the fullest! I am a bit agorophobic, even though I will be flying to LA by myself on Thursday...... makes no sense. Certain situations can be difficult especially with dizziness/balance stuff!!! That symptom really brought me to my knees : (
I find that if I carry something heavy or do sit up's, lift weights etc... I feel more off balance! I have to be so careful. I try to eat right, rest, stay hydrated etc... you know, a full time job, ha ha, anxiety symptoms occupy my mind WAY TOO much.
After you finish the program there is a GREAT book, Freedom From Fear written by an MD who had panic for 31 years that you might want to read. It is written by Dr. Howard Leibgold.
