Just a note to relieve some of the "how on earth can I find the time for all of this?"
Yes, it takes work to overcome this condition, but, be careful when reading the instructions. Our anxiety tells us to DO IT ALL, every last action assignment and to perfection.
Every lesson, yes, and in order.
The action assignments- "do as much as you have time for" is what the workbook instructs us to do in the introduction.
Hey, I too skipped over this bit of info when starting out.

Perfectionist plus.
Watch for wording. Don't let your mind make mountains out of molehills.
The most common thing I hear on the forums about the assignments concerns finding the time to write down ALL our negative thoughts.
#8 action assignment in lesson 3 -
"Keep a small notebook with you all day ONE day this week. MAKE A TICK MARK (a little check mark)in your notebook each time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought"
Then, another action assignment in lesson 3 is "Use some of your negative thoughts to accomplish your negative to positive statements in your homework" (few pages before)
Writing down one to two negatives a day will enable us to do this. It (writing down a couple of negatives)can be done when we take 5-10 minutes to journal.
EASE UP on yourselves!!!
This program works! It's awesome! BUT, we don't have to beat the heck out of ourselves trying to do everything perfect for the changes to occur!
Follow the guidelines.
Try to stay at a steady pace.
Move forward even if you don't think you "Got that lesson perfect yet" The skills from all the lessons keep improving as you move forward.
REALLY. They overlap without even realizing it.
I must admit, I listened to the tapes every chance I got - in the car,(after I was finally able to drive again that is) at home -cooking dinner, doing chores, paying the bills, typing on the computer, -----what the heck, I was desperate.

And

if someone else was home and the stereo, or computer was loud, hmmmmmm, well, they got a wonderful ear full of coping skills too.
Believe and achieve!
