Anyone else have to deal with the lights in the room suddenly seeming darker or much brighter? This is one of the most disturbing things that happens to me when I'm dealing with a panic attack. It makes everything seem so much more unreal. I feel like I"m losing it completely. I know that your pupils tend to open more when you're frightened. But it's just the most bizarre sensation. And my mind gets pretty "foggy" when I'm panicking, so I can't think straight to reassure myself.

Anyone else ever have to deal with this in one way or another?

I have always had this...even as a kid. If I stare at something long enough the room will seem like its getting lighter. I get this if I'm talking to someone or reading mostly...and I it is part of the whole de-realization symptom. Once I forget about it or stop focusing on it, it goes away.
