Hello my friends. This is my first night here online using this community support system for my personal needs. I am on session 1 and Im trying so hard doing my best working on my journal and listening to the cds and doing my relation tapes but yet I am still feeling anxious and panicky. We I listen to the audios I am relaxed but as soon as the reality of life hits me I once again back into that trap of uncontrollable feelings I DONT UNDERSTAND.

I completely understand what you are saying. I feel trapped too and don't understand it. Stay focused on going through the program and you will begin to see life-changing results. Remain committed to each session and do what it says! I found that the cds didn't work until I put them in my player and listened to them! :) I've seen such dramatic improvements since I started this program and although I'm not 100% back to my old self yet, I know its only a matter of time until that happens. Anxiety isn't easy to understand, especially to those who don't experience it. So make sure you frequent this forum! I've found its comforting to me to know that I'm not alone and this is in fact something that many people are dealing with. Its nice that we can all have a place to come to help each other and listen to similar concerns from people just like us...you are not alone! Best of luck and stay connected to the community so we can all be encouraged by your progress.

I have just started the program and have already learned things that I have been suffering with forever are not indicators of me going crazy. I have always though the obsessive worrie about scary things was a really bad sign.

You are not in the boat alone Dutches. We are beginning together and have basically the same feelings at this time. But we must stay committed and focussed because if you are like me you have tried everything esle you know of! I am sure I am not alone in saying for what it's worth girl, I am a good listener.

When you starting feeling anxious or panicky what do you do? When I start feeling like this I get involved in some activity whether that is taking my dog for walk, ride my bike, or work on a needlepoint project.

So what alternative activity do you do?

Take care,
Rose
