Re: The BBL Project... Lesson 1
Wow look who came back! I'm so glad that you decided to join us again Karen L. I was wondering where you went to.
By the way it sounds like everybody is in a positive state which is really awesome. Mcshope I hope the interviews have gone well and Karen L good job on handling the phone situation and getting to the places you needed to get to. I'd also like to say that you both recognized the anxiety being still there but still had hope to keep going and focused on where you wanted to go instead of where you didn't want to go which is really awesome!
THH thank you again for posting that video it is a really awesome one.
Also Karen L good job for not taking back that guy, he was going bringing you down and you deserve so much better than that!!! And if things go how I imagine them to go then you won't have so much of a problem sticking with the program and with the group because it will be too much fun to give up! and thank you for the compliment!
And to follow suit I would like to post a video of my own to help boost this really awesome positive feeling state.

Re: The BBL Project... Lesson 1
By the way we are deligating some of the tasks to people in order to share in the responsibility of the thread. We need someone to post the action assignments each lesson and someone to post the information on the cards. I know THH you posted the cards, did you want to do that again? And Karen L did you want to post the action assignments?

KKKKAren, glad your here! Also glad you have stuck to your inner feelings about your dude! I'm good, still checking in and learning more.
Hope, I liked the Lucinda video, I had not seen it. I have the CD but it was fun seeing a visual! Thanks for posting it.
Mike,
I would be H.A.P.P.Y. to post the card. We did not do session 1 in the challenge we probably should have as it too is a great one.
Here is the card:
* I can't change the past.
* I can change my attitude.
* I can change my present.
* This condition is temporary.
* Knowledge is power.
* I am intelligent, creative and capable.
* I am open to learning new skills.
* I am proud of myself for the changes I am making this week.
* It's just anxiety.
"I can't control the wind, but I can control my sails."
Side 2:
1. Notice personality traits that encourage anxiety.
2. Begin to appreciate the positive side of our personality.
3. You can change the way you think.
4. Begin making behavior changes.
5. Begin journaling.
6. Slow down in all ways.
7. Begin an exercise routine and reduce caffeine.
8. Recovery is a gradual PROCESS.
9. Use relaxation audio session three times daily.
10. Listen to your inner dialogue. Respectful? Kind?
" Your history does not have to be your future."
GOOD STUFF!
I also found another video that I thought was very cool. I will post it. It is long, like 15 minutes, but it is very good so be sure to check it out when you have the time. I like it for several reasons, one it is all done over the internet and it reminds me of using these forums, another reason is it is so beautiful if you like singing or music. Mike I thought of you! ( I know you like to sing and this might be something you could do when they do it again.) OK don't want to spoil it, ENJOY!

Thanks for this.. I like how we are going to live with anxiety and not focus on getting rid of it. Good concept. Now I need to watch the video! Great to see everyone here! Paislee

Re: The BBL Project... Lesson 1
Wow Karen your program is even older than mine is. Thats fine to use those action assingments and if there are any that were added after you got your program then we can add them. By the way does your workbook look like? Mine has a sky with clouds and yeah I think its important to put down the action assignments for lesson one especially for the other people that may join us that did not in the Challenge. You liked that video eh? It when i first saw them play that song on the show I felt so moved! Such an amazing original song. Glee actually created it themselves! Sounds like you are having a great day and more greatness to come with it.
Thank you for posting the relaxation video Mcshope. It is great that you found it on youtube and so we can actually listen to it while posting on the forums.
Thank you for posting the card and yeah after going through the challenge I agree with you. It probabbly would have been better to start off at lesson 1. I got a little too eager and rushed to get better that I decided to skip it. Sorry that was my fault.
Also that was an amazing video! I do like singing and that video was deep! What I liked most about it is the sense of connection and purity, it was magnificant!
We are already getting off to a really amazing start. The videos have been really powerful and I have a really good feeling about this project!
Yes Paisleegreen that is exactly how we're going about it this time. It does feel alot better to go about it that way then it does the other way eh? Doesn't it feel much easier to think of the process of getting over the condition by having fun rather than doing work?
By the way I had a dream the other day which created such intense feelings of doom and it kinda stuck with me and affected my sleep yestaurday but I went to the Letting go thread and I posted on there using a technique called moving up the emotional ladder and I was able to go from that really intense doom feeling to feeling really joyful and excited. It has been such an amazing experience to shift from the negative state to the positive one especially on a day where normally I would have a very diffcult time and struggle with the negative feelings. I'm so glad this situation happened because it really shows that I can break free of those thoughts and intense feelings no matter how intense they are. Today is a great growth day for me and I think I know how to go about posting now. If I feel really really negative I will go to the letting go post and just get it all out there until I feel better and then come on here and enjoy the good stuff! Having both threads is so very helpful. I'm really glad we have these resources and that we can communicate to each other and share amazing things together like the videos! Today started off crappy and I didn't think I would be able to get myself to do anythnig but now its pretty amazing and I want to still do things.
Thank you for the opportunity to be apart of a great group. It is like a family in its own. I am so looking forward to all the smiles and laughter and joy that we will be experiencing! And I do hope that you all get the chance to use the Letting go post as it is important to let yourself feel the negative feelings and then let them go. That is when the most growth happens and then our capacity to feel great becomes even deeper.
I hope everybody has an awesome day!
Mike

This video is not so much inspiring as it is funny but it is definately good to have some variety. This is my kind of humor by the way;

My favorate is when the one guy says "Do you know who I am?"
And Yakko says "Why did you forget?"
