I have been on Lexapro for close to 6 months now and it has worked WONDERS in my life. I talked to my doctor about getting pregnant and she said that they usually recommend Zoloft as the SSRI you're on if pregnant. I was just wondering if anyone has made that switch successfully or if anyone weened off their meds before pregnancy. I ideally would like to be on no meds during pregnancy, but my doctor said that anxiety and depression are much worse for the baby than the meds. Any input would be great~

Don't know if this helps, but my Dr. said the same thing. I was on Lexapro 2 yrs ago and then got off because I wanted to have another child. Still no child but that is another story. But she suggested Zoloft too.

I was on Zoloft for a year and then became pregnant. Because of the morning sickness, I was unable to take my zoloft, I would just throw the pills back up. Well, it's been about three weeks now, and I have not taken my zoloft. I know you're suppossed to taper off, this just kind of happened by mistake because I was so sick. But, when I got better from the morning sickness, I saw no need to continue taking them because my anxiety is now under control. This was just my experience being pregnant and on zoloft.
