by Searching for some peace
Hey everyone ive been on Paxil CR 25mg for almost 5 years now and am having a lot of trouble lately. I dont think my medication is really working for me like it used to. Has anyone ever had thier medication level off on them? thanks for taking the time to help me!

I was on Paxil for about three years and then I started feeling like it wasn't working for me anymore. I switched over to Lexapro. Talk to your doctor.

All meds wear off after a time. I have taken lexapro and it made me feel giddy and uphoric i loved that stuff. but after a time it did wear off. I was still faced with the same issues I had before but worse. we all have to learn how to self save. Diet pills work for a time but in the final analysis you have to learn how to eat right. I realize now I have to learn tools on how self save. I have to or else I will lose everything.

Hi Erin, Yeah, good for you for asking instead of of going off the meds.
As someone has already said they do level off. I don't really understand why but you may need to increase the dosage or try another med.
I have been on med 15 yrs and my doctor & I trust each other. She counts on me to let her know if there are any changes. She has noticed changes in my behavior before I realized it also.
You are a team with your doctor. Remember alot of these meds are fairly new so...
The fact is, you are managing the depression or you are managing the medication.
Take good care.
I'm just beginning this program. It is going to be very good for my brain!

Hi Erin and Everyone,
I have been on 4 differant AD's and the last was Paxil for 2 years and my dosage was increased a few times. When I went off it almost 4 months ago I was on 45 mg's a day and it wasn't working at all. You develop an immunity to meds after time.
You might just need your dosage upped. That's something you can discuss with your Doctor.
Good Luck!!!
