I am new here. I started taking Lexapro 3weeks for anxiety/depression. I have night sweats almost every night. I went out and bought bed sheets made with bamboo and lighter fabric night clothes. Does anyone else on Lexapro experience this?

Hello My Friend is on lexapro and she has not experience night sweats. she does get lots of headaches. your body needs to adjust to the meds so dont worry every one has a different affect.
I hear is a great medicine so give it a chance in your system ok take care

Hello,
I have been on lexapro for 2 years, I have night sweats some nights too that I did not have before. I am 43 though, and really thought it was part of my bodies natural changing. Also, I had headaches for the first 6 weeks on the medication. I am prone to headaches though, so that was not uncommon for me (family history of migraines). Also, with the night sweats, I have turned down the temperature in the bedroom and have just learned to deal with it, because the benefits were far out weighing the draw backs. Maybe check with your doctor, I wonder if you are on too high of a dose? Everyone is different in how they react to medication, and I am not a medical professional at all. Good luck, hope the side effects decrease as your body adjusts!

I'm 44 and thought I was going through perimenopause. I was previously on Prozac and had them sometimes too. I'm going to my doctor on Friday - I'll tell him and see what he has to say. Thanks for your input.

I am on Effexor XR and I get night sweats. I think it's a side effect of many anxiety/depression meds. So don't feel bad, you're not alone

I use to take lexapro. I would have night sweats often.
