New to medication does anyone know anything about Paxil? Ive never been on anti depressants and i am scared to start. I also have a bottle of Rescue Remedy can anyone help?

hey ive been on paxil first one i have ever tried. of course all new drugs are going to feel funny at first but after a few days you will be fine. i personally didnt like paxil it made me feel dazed and the sexual side effects were horrible .. but everyone is diff some people love paxil. its really all about trial and error. the best bet is to try to avoid going on the meds cause they are not easy to come off. nothing to be nervous about just be sure thi sis what you want

I tried Paxil but did not like it at all. made me feel nervous and I had a hard time coming off of them. I only tried them for 2 weeks and the whole entire time I was on them, I felt bad.

I tried Paxil and it made me feel awful, tired, yawnng alot and sexually dysfunctional. I now use Wellbutrin(generic) with much better results.

I was on Paxil about four years ago.
I had every side affect there is to it.
I heard "they" were considering to recall it.
I became more depressed, had suicidal thoughts, slept all the time, and it created more problems than I had to begin with.

I was then on Cymbalta which, unfortunately, also did not work for me. However, I am on Zoloft now and it's working beautifully.

i was on paxil for 8 years!!! i gained almost 50 pounds. i came off in may and lost 30. i also had a very low sex drive, the buzzing in my body, and wasn't "regular" if you know what i mean. it did help me a lot though was i first started with anxiety and panic attacks.

I tried paxil. It helped with my anxiety and depression. When I tried to get off the paxil, wow....the withdrawals are brutal.....It took about two weeks for the paxil to leave my body. I now take zoloft and I am doing better.
