I only take the ativan 0.5mg prn. I am three weeks from graduating from nursing school and have become a basket case. Anyway I am now taking mine twice a day. I thought about three times a day. I would be interested to see what others say. I go back to my doctor wednesday. She wants me to get on lexapro but my husband is against it. I just need to get through the next three weeks and then go from there.

I took ativan for a while but it was too strong for me. I couldn't take it during the day at all because it made me too sleepy. I only take xanax as needed and usually at night. If I'm having a really bad day I may take l/2 of .25 mg. during the day. Are you both doing the program?

My doctor pulled me off ativan aka lorazapam. Says it is too dependent of a class of drugs. I was only taking it at night to help me sleep, and do admit I felt I couldn't sleep without it. She prescribed trazdone, which helped with the sleep. However, on a recent follow up appt, she suggested I discontinue since our conversation led her to believe it's not helping me that much. So, I've been off for 5 nights, sleeping is no different than it ever is fr me, which isn't great. I did notice though that my need to urinate constantly subsided after being of the trazadone for a couple of days. I thought I was getting a bladder infection. So, I'm hoping the relaxation cd will help be sleep. I'll let you know!

Explain to her your financial situation or whatever you can pay per month etc. She says she will try to help anyone to the best of her ability.
It's worth a shot. Don't you think?
