I haven't been on here in years. Been doing very well. Still doing well, but having some issues getting off my Zoloft. I went from 100mg to 50mg. I did it slowly and don't have any phsyical side effects, but I seem to be spacey and scatter brained. Having a tough time concentrating. I want to hear only positive feedback. No horror stories. Anyone successful at getting off Zoloft? I've been on it for 2 years and wanted to give myself a fighting chance getting off.
Any advice or encouragement?

Diva; I have just started decreasing Zoloft and Wellbutrin. They have not done much for me and all my alternative health contacts advise, to taper off gradually and are helping me naturally. Keep in touch, we will succeed !!! Galaxie.... :)

Let me jump in on this one! I too took Zoloft for nearly 8 years and went off them slowly..from 100 to 50 to 25....with my Dr.'s help and did really well. I have not taken anything in over 3 years. Hope that helps. Everyone is different and your Dr. should help guide you...Good Wishes...Linda

I'm interested in others responses as well. I have been on Zoloft or Paxil for the past 8 years & would LOVE to get off it. I have the spacey feeling also...hate it.

I successfully went off of Zoloft 100mg after taking for about 8 years or so. I felt awful at first, very moody, but pushed through to achieve it. It is possible, and the symptoms go away. Definitely work with your doctor. He/she may be able to help with any symptoms. Congrats on doing so well!

wow canonsmom-that's great-I'm at 50 and holding for now. I did push through the weird symptoms and I am a little moody but I'm doing my best. I just tell myself that it's been withdrawal and my body needs time.

I've been on Paxil 20mg for 3 years for Postpartum OCD & depression and started weaning off last week.
This is day 8 and I've on gone down to 19.7mg with the liquid. Like you, I am pushing myself through the anxiety with the breathing techniques Lucinda taught which really helps. I'm also taking Vitamin B supplements and drinking chamomile tea (TAZO-
Calm tea from Starbucks works great!!!).
I've weaned off Paxil before and it took 7 months with no problems, and I think this time will take longer, but it will be worth it and we can do it! It appears you're doing a great job of staying positive which helps!
