I've been through the program and been on Cymbalta for a year or more now... things have been so great until recently. Over the past few weeks I have been getting really anxious and experiencing all the old body symptoms... palpatations, racing heart, digestive issues, pains in my chest, etc.

Right now it's all I can do to keep myself from going to the doctor. The only thing really upsetting me about it is why did it all come back? I quit taking my birth control pill... could that really make this much of a difference? With the way I'm feeling right now I am struggling to convince myself I'm not having a heart attack.

Any advice?

Ooohhhhhh my gosh yes. Of course everyone's body chemistry is different. My experience went like this. I went off the pill (having been on it for 10 years) January of 2009, almost a year ago. I had violent rollercoaster mood swings and highs and lows and physical symptoms that were really, really intense. Ok, I battle this now and constantly, but there were a few VERY intense months after going off the pill. I could literally FEEL my brain hormone chemistry start to normalize as my body adjusted itself after 4-5 months pill-free. So what you're experiencing could certainly be caused by going off the pill. Advice? Go easy on yourself and allow for the extra self-care and love and patience that's required while your body resets itelf. Or go back on the pill. I hope this helps! It's another chance/ trying time where you can use your skills.
