I have been on celexa for 1 1/2 years. The last few months it seems to be ineffective around the time I ovulate and until my period comes...anxiety,panic attacks, etc...

So, after talking to him today he feels that I should switch to Zoloft. I was on Zoloft when I was pregnant with my youngest. It made things worse the first couple of weeks, but so did celexa when I started it. My system seems to be very sensitive. Anyway, I am supposed to cut back the celexa to 10mg for five days and then take the 10mg of celexa with the 25 mg of Zoloft for a few days and then stop the celexa all together. I am scared of doing this, considering both have bothered me in the beginning stages. But, will it be different since I have already been on an SSRI and not starting from scratch?
Does anyone have any experience with this change?

Zoloft bothered me also for first three weeks it has to get in your system. Now it has been a life saver. I am sure it will be fine I do not think doctor would have told you to take it.

Thanks for your responses. Glad to see I am not the only one scared of the medicine. But, I agree that it is definitely better than these anxious feelings.
