I just wanted to share my experience on this medication.
To some it may seem like a miracle drug, while to others it's like a personal hell.

I started on Cymbalta 60mg before bed everynight a lil over 3 years ago. After first starting it, I felt SOOO much better! It was like a miracle! I felt energetic and happy again.
Well, after about 2 n half years, it faded and it seemed as though either I became immune to the medication or it had just quit working entirely. I had my good days and bad days. And some days I was just in a complete haze. My sex drive sunk down to ZERO. And now I've recently decided to come off of it.
The doctor suggested weaning off of it, and so I've been taking 30mg now instead of 60mg for the past week. and all i have to say is... WOW, do I feel like CRAP!
I'm VERY moody, I ache all over, I'm sooo EXHAUSTED, sick to my stomach at times, very weak at times, and hot flashes ohmy! Tonight I quit taking it alltogether, and I can only IMAGINE what I'm gonna feel like off of it completely.
But, I am DETERMINED to do this.
Last night was one of the worst so far, I lied in bed TERRIFIED because I felt soo spaced out and bad, and I was fighting sleep cause I'm scared of the vivid dreams Ive been having.

But anyways.. I just wanted to let yall know my experience on this medication.

I understand medications work differently and have different effects on everyone.. this was mine. it does not mean it will happen to you.

I'll keep yall updated on my progress as I quit cold turkey for the next few weeks... I go to the doc monday and hopefully he can help me out on feeling better as I go through this!

I agree every med reacts differently depending on the person. Cymbalta was horrible for me! I will never try a new drug again. It was the worst experience of my life. I don't think I have ever felt as bad as I did on the Cymbalta. Even on my most anxious days. That med is just too new. After reading about other people neg reactions to it as well, it just makes me nervous.

oh yeah! theres this site i happen to end up on after i googled "cymbalta withdrawl" and it scared me to death. its a forum where everyone disecusses what they went through and everything.

i'm not looking forward to coming off completely, i feel like crap enough as it is.
i'm trying to stay as strong as i can but i break down at times, its hard.

It seems alot of ppl have gone through alot on this medication, and I think it's important to let others know, specially because doctors don't tell you about these horrible side effects when they prescribe it to you.
