Hello, I'm currently having a bad bout with my anxiety with my main symptoms being nausea, spaciness and panicky head feelings. I'm currently taking a small dose of Lexapro but it hasn't helped me that much. My doctor (GP) wants to put me on Paxil for the panic but I'm very worried about it since I haven't heard too many great things about it. I know that some of these drugs actually cause nausea but I would really like to find something that gets rid of it...I definitely don't want to make it worse!

Any advice from those of you that had nausea and have experience with different medications would be greatly appreciated!

hi needtogetbetter,

my experience with nausea i've treated with an over-the-counter drug called Emetrol-- i get the cherry flavor... another thing that works for me is ginger... either in tea or ginger ale... or just fresh ginger... there's all kinds of ginger candies and things at the natural food stores... also, when i was pregnant, just plain classic coke settled my stomach... i know we are all different and our bodies react differently to different things... so you just have to find what will work in your body... i will pray for you that you find relief soon... that is a most uncomfortable feeling... let me know how you do... much LOVE,
kj

In talking to my Dr, the Lexapro (10-20mg) is better at treating the panic attacks, but the Remeron (30mg) I'm taking is better for the nausea and it helps you sleep.
