Weaning off Zoloft

Post by vahorsegirl » Thu Feb 17, 2011 9:58 am

After 10 months of being on 50 mg Zoloft I'm now gradually weaning off. I think the combination of therapy and zoloft has helped me tremendously and want to try to live medication free. What has anyone else experienced weaning off? I'm really hopeful that the therapy has been what has helped me and not solely the chemicals... Fingers crossed.

I started with Zoloft and then took Paxil for six months, i just recently weened off Paxil and have had not withdrawls. I weened off very slowly and I can say with my own will and the faith in god, i have done really well. I have become a little spirtual since i've gone through my anixeity/panic attack and the program really helped me understand the meaning of the attack and what it was and how to beat it. I just wished my doctor would of told me about programs like this before he jumped the gun and told me i needed meds when all I needed was for someone to explain what I was going through.

Good luck
