				Hello All!
I suffer from numerous health problems, including generalized anxiety disorder, depression/bipolar mania, severe panic attacks, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), fibromyalgia, migraines, asthma, allergies, GE Reflux disease, hypothyroidism, insomnia, PMDD, and IBS. I am on 14 prescription medications for these problems. Many of them are for the mental health problems.
For my mental health, I currently take Depakote for my mood swings, Topamax for my mood swings (and for my migraines), Celexa for my depression, Geodon for my chronic skin-picking and racing thoughts, and Klonopin for my anxiety.
I've been on multitudes of others, however. My first depression medication was Zoloft I believe. I've also been on Wellbutrin as a booster. I've taken Ativan for anxiety. There's more but I can't remember.
I've taken a few prescription sleeping pills for my insomnia, including Trazodone, but after a while they all started giving me violent nightmares.
Some of my other meds include: high-dosage prescription ibuprofen for my fibromyalgia, Maxalt for my migraines, Singulair for my allergies and asthma, Albuterol for my asthma, prescription Zyrtec for my allergies, Flonase for my allergies, Levothyroxine for my thyroid, Minocycline for my acne, prescription Prilosec for my GE Reflux, and Yaz to help with my PMDD. I also have to take daily probiotics in pill-form to help with my IBS.
I hate being on so many medications. There are so many side effects. Pretty much every med I'm on causes fatigue, so I'm like a walking zombie ALL the time. And that's if I can even manage to peel myself out of the bed. When I skip a day of meds, I can get up at a decent time and make it through the day without a nap. However, I'll have a bad attack before the day is over. But when I do take my meds I'm so tired I can't function. So either way I'm not fully healthy. And it's so tough with the doctors, because between being tired during the day anyway, plus dealing with my insomnia at night, I sleep so much during the day that I often just CANNOT get up for my daytime doctor's appointments. And I try to explain that THIS is part of my problem, and something I want help with. But, when it comes to business, they just don't care. So I am constantly kicked out of my clinics!
I hope that this program will help me rely less on some of my medications.
Anyway, I am posting as I'd like feedback from anyone who has been on similar medications, or has had similar side effects. I'd be happy to hear any comments or input!
