i take it before bed, have trouble sleeping at times, and get light headed on and off. It calms me and my nerves, but I still suffer with anxiety. I want to try something else but my doctor wants to keep me on it for another month

I was on Paxil about 9 yrs ago. It really worked for me. I had to get off of it but when I was taking it, I had no worries. Good luck.

i've been on paxil for 2 weeks, and still have high level of anxiety so i am taking xanax to help keep calm. i'm hoping that paxil will work it's way into my system so i can quit the xanax. i am just starting this program which i think is wonderful so far, very refreshing to know i'm not alone in this.

I think Paxil CR has really helped me through my problems with anxiety. I have been on 37.5 mg for the past couple of years, but have finally persuaded my doctor to bring me down on the dose, so it'll be back to 25 mg. There have been no side affects from the medication, as far as I have been able to tell. I am expecting some once I start lowering the dose, but there have been no noticeable side affects beforehand, like I expereienced with Xanax and BuSpar.

Hi all. I have been on Paxil CR now for about 10 years. I started out at 25 and worked y way up to 67.5 at my highest. I have wened myself back down to 25 with my doctor's knowledge and help. The only problems I have had were dizziness and some anxiety. After going through this program, the anxiety no longer bothers me. I have it, but it does not control me. I know what it is when it happens and I can uaually figure out why I am having it. It is just a body symptom of something my brian thought. If you control the thoughts, you control the body symptoms. If I get anxiety, then I know I need to stop and look at what I have been thinking. Usually it turns out to be something negative. I change the thought and the anxiety goes away. Paxil CR has been my friend. I don't see myself ever getting off the meds, nor do I want to.
