i started taking trileptal 3 days ago, i just cant live with the anxiety anymore and had to do something. i have in the past tried the lexapros and zolofts but the made me feel horrible. so trileptal is apparently a mood stabalizer that can help with anxiety. wish me luck, im pretty darn scared.

Good for you Curt that you are taking control of your life and doing what you need to to feel better. I hope you are doing the program as well. It really works well when you are taking meds too. I suspect everyone will have their two cents about what you should or could do but you know yourself best and if you take meds to function while you get better with the program then I say "right on". I take anti-depressants and as far as I am concerned it's no ones business but mine. I have to live with this brain ya know? Please don't beat yourself up over this it doesn't make you any less of a man to get help with your imabalances right now.
Take care and have a good day.
Jill~

well julie, i have had a long history (a bad one) with meds. i tried probably 5 different antidepressants, all made me worse or side effects were too much. so i tried natural supplements and vitamins, yes some worked and helped me function a bit but i have still been tortured with anxiety. so here i am, trying a whole different class of meds, trileptal, and so far out of all the med this has had the least amount of side effects, just a bit of an upset stomache, and i could care less about that lol. in fact i have been going to the gym and working out the last few weeks. but its only day 6 and i am starting on the very lowest dose. keep in touch with me.

Curt -
You're doing the right thing. Some folks are med sensitive and it takes a while to find the right thing. I'm keeping you in my prayers.
