It can make you tired in the start up, with time it should even out, give it time. Do you take your meds at night?

I've been on prozac for about a year now. Like you, I was tired at first, but that has since not been as big a problem. I do still have some tiredness or fatigue, but the benefit for me is that the prozac clips off the real downs. I can much better handle day-to-day activities on prozac. I tried zoloft once, but it made me feel like my head was in a vice. Ick. I take all of my prozac at night before I go to bed as it helps to act a kind of a sleep aid. Hope things smooth out for you. Take care.

Shelly,

Yes, you are quite correct, it did take about a month to really start to feel the maximum effect. The first week or so I had medium-size headaches every day, but those soon wore off to nothing. Once in a while get what I call the "mind wobbles" in that I feel kind of dopy (most people say I'm dopy anyway). Those ususally don't last long and my doc said nothing to worry about. Certainly, you want to consult with your doc, but my doc said no problemo taking them at night due to drowsiness. Blood pressure meds...different story.
