Hi! I just started this program on Saturday. I am still on Lesson 1. I am excited for a way to help myself.

My question is this:
I have been on Cymbalta (60 mg) for a couple years, and have added Wellbutrin SL(300 mg) 10 mo. ago. Not sure if they are really helping in my depression, but that topic is for a different day.

What I am wondering is if anyone has taken Wellbutrin and experienced tremors?

I noticed I had a shaky hand about a year before I got on Wellbutrin, but it would come and go. But after I got on Wellbutrin, my "tremors" are constant, and depending on the day, can get bad enough that I have a hard time writing, or when I talk my voice is shaky & it sounds like I've been crying.

I've looked at the side effects & talked to the pharmacist, and one of the side effects can be tremors. However, I went of this med. to see if the tremors would go away. When I did this, I think the tremors weren't as severe, but they didn't go away completely.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this type of side effect while taking Wellbutrin? Especially this high of a dose (or higher)?

I take a generic of this and haven't expeienced any tremors. I'm not sure if it helps any either to tell the truth.

Hello, my neice had problems with Wellbuturin and couldn't take it. And I have seen data on Cymbalta that shows that it can have many of the same side effects. Since you were having them before you started the Wellbuturin, I would have to think that the Cymbalta is actually the cause of them and that the Wellbuturin just made them worse. You should definitely call your doctor and tell him the same thing you told us. Fortunately for me, my sister is a Mental Health Coordinator so I can call her any time I get a new medication but you can feel free to email me anytime and I will ask her to tell me about them for you. Hi Charward, I have been taking wellbutrin for about 4yrs or so now but I have never experienced tremors. I am also taking 300mg. I agree with mdl though, to tell you the truth it really doesn't make me feel any better. I only stay on it because I find that it has less side effects than the others that I have tried in the past. Talk to your Dr. and I hope you feel better soon.

I know I need to talk to my doctor about the symptoms I'm having, but I start the whole battle in my head , "It's too expensive to go to the doctor... We don't have the $.... I don't want to rehash this out with a new doctor (as we just moved here not too long ago).... I don't want to go through the hassle of starting a different pill and going through the beginning side effects...."

My husband gets so mad when I do this. He always tells me I need to take care of myself, and I know he's right, but I've been doing this for so long it's hard to stop thinking this way.

Like I said, between the combination of the meds, I really haven't noticed much difference. I still I'm in a fog, more than not, and I still don't have much motivation to do things. Not sure what to do?

Anyone on different meds that you can tell have made a difference with you?

Yes, I had very serious side effects. I was put on it for a while, at the high dose. It made me homisidle - however you spell it, I pulled a gun on my then fiance in front of our six kids. I also threw a paper plate at my son because he droped his fries. Crazy huh? But yes, it can cause many undesirable side effects. Are you aware that it can take 30 to 60 days for it to leave your system completely after taking it at a high dose for a long period of time? Maybe your tremors will go away with time. When I came off the Prozac, it took me three months to realize the side effects it had been causing me, and yes, I had some serous withdrawal coming off the Prozac, but it was worth it to me to get rid of the side effects.
