I've had anxiety off and on most of my life and been on meds off and on for the past 10 years. It took me awhile to find one that worked pretty well (Lexapro) but with my job/insurance change I can't afford that anymore. I was doing pretty well without it for a while (doing yoga/meditation & exercise helped). Then recently my anxiety got worse so I decided to try meds again. My doc put me on Celexa and then I switched to Paxil. Both of these meds seemed to make me feel worse! I started taking 1/2 a paxil because it made me so jittery & nauseated. They also make it more difficult to sleep. Doc gave me a prescrip for Ambien CR and that helps but it's expensive, too and I'm afraid of becoming dependent on it anyway. I know Lex. would probably work better but... Any other suggestions?

Have you tried Sleep MD it is over the counter herbal sleep aid. They also have a generic for regular Ambien so it makes it cheaper. I have taken Ambien CR and did not get addicted

I am currently taking Lexapro for depression along with Neutontin. For anxiety I take Vistaril (which seems to help so far)and Trazadone at night (it works better if you eat first) I really don't like taking all these pills but am alcohol dependent (so they say). I hope this program can help, I am just starting it.
