I just started the Anxiety program and I can feel some relief. I still have the aches and pains and worry about having a heart attack or death. In November my doctor told me I had high blood pressure and needed to up my paxil to 40mg (I was on 20mg since 1998) and I was also given Ambien for sleep (which i never took).
My biggest problem is WEIGHT GAIN, COMING OFF PAXIL completely, and dealing with having high blood pressure or not. Stress -YES! Work - YES (Love my job)....Just worry about everything from how i feel, why i feel this way, and how NOT to panic. Will it ever end? How do I TRY to take it day by day? or get off the med's (paxil) and Benicar (high blood pressure)...I am only 39 (till june) but I don't feel like i am in that bad of health...how do I stop worrying and start helping myself and family?

Lisa, I wish the best for you and know that you can do what you want to do. You just have to start believing in yourself and doing the program! I understand wanting to be off of the meds, but I feel that if they help, I'm going to take them.

I was Paxil on and off since the age of 16. I am now 23 and finally got off of it completely. It worked very well for me for awhile but I would eventually need an increase. I was up to 60 mg at one time. My major problem was weight gain. I got really over weight from Paxil. I had a breakdown and told my Dr. how I was feeling. I'm now on Wellbutrin which is great for my depression but is very bad on my anxiety. Try not to worry and go with the flow. Eventually everything will work out. Make sure to pay attention to your body, educate yourself on meds, and contact your doctor about your progress. It may take some adjusting but it will be fine in the end. :)
