I thought some people in here might be interested in a new drug currently in clinical trials in Europe and the United States. It works through a completely different mechanism of action than most prescription antidepressants.

Yes I too am keeping a keen eye on this one. I even wrote some of the wikipedia entry :) Sounds like an excellent drug with little to no side effects.I cant wait to give it ago after dealing with SSRI induced sexual side effects for quite some time. In europe they have resubmitted and I expect we should should hear something by summer 2008. Could be out for 2009. Maybe add a year on that for the US. (Unless of course the EMEA and FDA reject it! But that wont happen I hope!)
