Taking Zoloft for 8 weeks has been HELL!!
Shaking(tremors) internally 24 hrs a day and lost 20lbs because of a lack of appetite. Starting taking 75mg last week and got worse.
My MD which is moving out of state next week is having me withdrawal from it. Starting with reducing the dose back to .50mg for one week than down to .25mg the next week. My question for you is this too fast and setting me up for many a bad day! I will not be taking anything else except for xanax. MD stated switching to another drug or brand will bring the same side effects for me.

I don't like taking medication but am affraid my depression and anxiety will get worse if I stop. It is confusing is it withdrawl or the condition? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks...

I feel crap on the SSRIs also. You are bigger than the depression and the anxiety. You are not the depression and anxiety. It is the withdrawal. If I was you I would look around the web for the detox kits that are out there.

Taking each lower dosage each week is how my doctor always told me to ween off of medications. When you get down to the .25mg week, the following week you should try taking the pill every other day instead of just stopping. That is how I got off of Paxil before.
You might have some bad days when you are weening off, but you just got to be prepared for them and learn how to get through them. Your body will eventually adjust to not having the Zoloft in its system. The bad days coming off the meds might outweigh the hell you went through for 8 weeks of being on it! So stay postive!

Thanks for the great tip!
I will ween off slowly as you said.
Boy, is it going to feel great to get off that POISON! That is what it feels like. This course not medication will get me back to a healthy mind, body and spirit.
