I'm supposed to start taking Paxil and I keep telling myself i will start tommorrow.I have tried zoloft and had a bad reaction so now i'm afraid.I took the Paxil last month for 3 days and was so sick and shaky.I have had panic attacks for 20 years and I need to take this has anyone had good experince with meds.Thank You.

Hi, I took Paxil for a little over a year. Being somewhat nervous about taking medications at first, I was really concerned about paxil. After much coaching, I started taking it, noticed a bit of a light headedness for awhile but after a couple of weeks, I was "fine". My anxieties were reduced. The only thing I did was gain weight - about 10-15 pounds. I also read too many negative things about it, so I asked my doctor to give me something else - lexapro. I soon lost the weight and my anxieties are still low.

I forgot to add that I tried lexapro and also had a bad reaction to that.I don't want to say what because I don't want to scare anyone that may need to take it and I know we all reacat different to meds.I have been trhough hell in the past month and a half trying to fina a medecine that I can take and the only thing left is paxil or prozac.

I was originally put on zoloft, but could not tolerate the side effects at all. Then I tried Paxil and I felt like it saved me. After having panic attacks for 15 years at that point, something was finally helping me feel better. Good luck to you.
