It's supposed to help anxiety specifically.

Any experiences?

Hi Meresa,
I was on buspar for about 6 months. At about 3 months, I became extremely tired, so my dr. had me take welbutrin alongside for a little "boost". Well, I ended up not liking the combo, either. I became nauseas constantly, and wasn't able to pinpoint where the symptoms were coming from. Didn't do much with my horrible, nonstop anxiety. I have read, however, that it does work for many. I have a very sensitive system. ~Erin

I tried Buspar, but just for a little while and didn't like how it made me feel, but maybe it would of helped if I would of tried longer.I don't like taking meds, so anxiety about taking it could of made things worse. Some Dr. prefer SSRI,s instead. Its so hard to know.

Hello, My name is Jeanna . I am new to program , awaiting my product to come in the mail so I may get started. I take buspar, I have taken it for 2 years now. The first year and a half I only took one 15 milg. tablet broken in half at bedtime. I was informed by my doctor I had to take it more and reg. So, now I take it (15milg.) broke into 3 pieces , 3 times a day. I cant say it doesn't help, but I have not noticed any vast differences, good/bad. I took for 9 years before the buspar , xanax-0.5 mg. Anywhere s from 1-5 tab. a day and I hated it, but it was the only thing that would immediately stop the anxiety. Then I started learning and reading about anxiety/panic and I quit taking it, slowly but all together within 3 months. And I can say I will NEVER take an addictive medication such as that again. It was hard to stop taking. But as for buspar , I think it prob would, if taken consistently help in some way. But there is NO medication that makes anxiety/panic go and stay away. They say this program helps you learn how to make that happen. I pray it does. I hope this helps. God Bless. Jeanna

Meresa,

Having experience with buspar I can tell you that the side effects for me were minimal. My doctor put me on buspar and weened me from xanax while I was taking the buspar. It freed me from my ocd worrying and when I felt anxious, I was able to tell myself I would not go into a full-blown panic. The only side effect that I did have in the beginning is I had a bit of a tingling/relaxation feeling in my head, but it was not bad enough for me to stop the medicine. The buspar relaxed and calmed my worries enough for me to go through counseling and this program.
