Fear of being around people, and growing up that way

I’m “Maddog” (Jim), and, this is my first post on this site. Of course I learned of this through Lucinda’s Stress & Anxiety course. I am 61 years of age (for the next few months), and, I have evolved into enormous interpersonal difficulties in inter-personal settings. Being retired now for 8+ years, with work, and it’s commuting environment being significantly difficult, it fails in comparison to past encounters, 5-10-15-20+ years ago. Let alone not dealing with the work environment nowadays. Mental health services offered minimal impact (to be generous), except for “black and white” (pen and paper) from specialists. I have no answers on the horizon. Any thoughts from the forum.

Congratulations on getting started with the program.
What has been the most helpful for you so far?
What lesson are you on currently?

Hi Chris,
I’m just starting on my 4th lesson of the Stress & Anxiety course. I’ve been at it since about May, and, have taken about 3 weeks for each lesson, as I juggle a home study photography course, reading several books, and staying in my active, retired lifestyle (poor excuses, eh). I’m learning a great deal in the well laid out course curriculum. I’m very self-aware of my insights and capabilities, but, what I like are the reinforcing tips and the DVD testimonials, for example. I think I’m really going to enjoy the course, and, get a lot out of it.
