This is an excellent basic book on quiet meditation by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Don't be afraid <smile> it isn't pushing any particular belief simply gives some practical information on making time for peace in your daily life.
I recently took a short course on mindfulness - learning to live in the present moment and also highly recommend looking into this subject if worry and an overactive mind drive you as it does me. These simple techniques are helping me slow down and not lose the precious present moment.
