This little book was written by Lao-tzu about 2500 years ago. The edition I enjoy has the English translation along with the original Chinese. A beautiful book. If I read the same poem twelve times, I know I am looking out the same window twelve times, and always seeing something brand new and wonderful. If you get it, it's a keeper.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I have many books on the Tao but don't have this one.

Has anyone read The Way to Love by Anthony de Mello? Similar to Tao, it, too, is very brief but highly enlightening. I've also enjoyed The Prophetby K. Gibran and The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo (sp).

If anyone else has read these, I'd be interested in knowing what(s)he thinks...

Fischee, I have certainly read The Prophet a few dozen times. I enjoy the many ideas of sharing from within instead of offering a physical item as a gift. I have read de Mello, and can't say it stayed with me, not sure why. I did begin The Alchemist, and didn't stay with that, either. I will go back one day and pick the latter up again. Thanks for sharing these. Being reminded of Gibran reminds me of the positive thinking on those pages.
