I'm Starting to Identify Secondary Gains

Post by Michele16 » Thu Feb 03, 2011 9:36 pm

One thing I have noticed is that by about my feelings of depression I get sensitive, gently treatment from my husband, son, mother, and sister. I keep them from talking about themselves and their problems because I feel like I just can't deal with them now.

Good discovery! So you get attention and the people around you avoid talking about their own problems. Do you notice any other secondary gains? How about when it comes to activities or limitations? Or even conflict?
