Oh honey, I am the QUEEN of hot flashes. They are the first sign of my anxiety getting high. Those sickening, icky, full chest, face, back hot flash.

I'm not overweight. I'm not premenopausal yet, only just 30 yesterday. It's just a part of my anxiety and I bet that we are not the only ones.

I would suggest, if you are concerned to ask your doctor. Rule out if it's anything else. But, mine are from anxiousness and it is my albatross!

As good as I get those silly hot flashes still can knock me around. They immediately freak me out and I have to calm myself.

However, they are what they are, and I know that when they get less and less my anxiety is going down. Almost like a temperature gauge. Claire Weekes suggests trying to make them worse. Sit back in your chair and feel the heat...and then see if you can make it hotter. You Can't!!!

It is supposed to show you that your feelings can't hurt you and that they are not going to overrun you. Your body can only do, handle and take so much. It is made to be strong and you have to remember that.

So, while they're a nuisance and I haven't figured out how to really make them go away...I'm getting more used to it. And that is always dependent on telling myself they are no big deal.

Keep trucking...and maybe someone else will have our magic cure.
