I had my first panic attack 2 weeks ago, it came out of no where. I have never had anxiety issues or anything. Well I ended up in the ER with my blood pressure 179/95 and hyperventilating, my arms and legs were numb and I thought I was dying on the way to the hospital. Since then I have had 3 more not as severe but still went back to the ER 2 days ago. My question is, my heart never has stopped racing since the first episode. Is that normal? I have an appt tommorow to have an echocardiogram and I'm just scared.

Hi! What you are experiencing is pretty much the same as what most of us experience! Do not be scared...you are NOT ALONE! Speak with your doctor about this and what you can do...have you purchased this program yet? It has helped me in a HUGE way! I am not relying on medications much anymore and it has taught me to not freak out once I feel a panic attack coming...I would have myself so freaked out, being afraid of the attack...and it made me worse..where I thought I would pass out...then that would scare me and I was off like a rocket!
I am VERY happy to hear about your appt tomorrow...do not be scared of it...be happy that you are going...and do let me know how the results go. It sounds to me like anxiety...and yes mine comes out of no-where too...just hits me like a tonne of bricks, when I am not ready...
Have some peace in knowing that I have gone through that for over a year now and every time I truly believe I am going to die...and...I am here still alive! So, the trick is to try and relax, don't get worked over the 'what if' of the situation...get the tests done and visit with your doctor to discuss the way you feel..and let us help you through this as well!
Sending well wishes and I have confidence that you will be just fine...if I could survive through the panic attacks I have had (sometimes MANY per day)..then I believe anyone can!
Better days are ahead, my friend!!

Thanks, this is all so new to me. I did order the program I haven't received it yet. I feel like I went from being normal to crazy in a matter of a few weeks. I don't think my husband understands it all either, which is making it so much harder. I kind of feel alone, ya know? I also have 3 children and work, so not a lot of relaxing time in my future. I'm just so scared and after the major attack I had, I can't seem to get it out of my head.

Don't focus on it...focus on better days coming...I promise you they are. My husband did NOT at all understand this either. The program will come with a disc for your husband to listen too. It will explain how you feel and why you feel it and what he can do to help you through it. Once he has that little bit of information and see's the progress you will be making, he will be so pleased.
Anxiety does sometimes just come out of no-where. I had a 20 yr old nephew pass away on Jan 1, 2008 and on Jan 2, 2008 I woke with a panic attack...and then it just got out of control from there! But with some meds and this program, less caffine and eating healthier foods and my peers on here...I have come such a long way...and you will too.
My Husband and my son thought I was losing it Big time...and so did I! Then I realized it was all just a way of thinking...my thoughts were causing my to have the panic attacks and constant anxiety and to actually feel and be physically sick....
Better days are coming...get excited about it..your family will be soon seeing you in your greatest form!
Congrats and all the best to you!

Hi and welcome scared,
My anxiety came out of nowhere, too. I was 42 when I experienced my first so you're definitely not alone. Open your package as soon as you get it and get started.
Best wishes,
