At any rate: I found this information to be VITAL given what I, personally, am going through and hope that others find this information useful as well.

Perhaps I'll use up another post to quote from the page. We'll see how many others this applies to first.

This is a wonderful article and very interesting to say the least. I know for me this is true, after having a hysterectomy at the age of 39. which I developed a severe panic disorder. I know through hormone testing, my panic came when estrogen levels dropped below the normal. My estrogen was only a 10. I went on natural hormones, and eventually a mild antidepressant, and have been much better. I still suffer with the edginess and anxiety but not half as bad as before. I believe that my panic disorder developed from a hormonal balance.

I have finally moved on through the worst stuff of menopause. I still take extra strength over the counter remedies, which work quite well for me (Estroven).

What was a really big wake up call in the beginning phase of this turned into a patterned cycle. When I experienced a hot flash, I felt like I was going to jump into outer space, right out of my skin. Just a bunch of bones jumping into orbit. I'd wake up in the night with these feelings. I knew it was related to the sudden absence or rush of hormones, but that didn't help. I felt AWFUL.

It's no fun. It's a relief when it's almost over!
