Stress Center Peer Support

Hello,

I have been considering taking lexapro.
I would take liquid drops and start at a very smaill does of 1mg : )
that is how fearful I am of it.
My biggest fear is that i will somehow go mad on it or will experience sever dp/dr and never be well again.

Has anyone here ever taken an ssri and gotten dp/dr from it or taken an ssri and cured their dp/dr?

I have been prescribed Lexapro also. I have never taken any meds before due to the fear of making me feel worse or having some kind of bad reaction. I am not doing well and am also considerng taking it. I am very interested to hear how other people have reacted to it also. Any help would be great

I am and have been on Lexapro for a while and it works fine as long as you take it right!!! I take a 10mg pill my problem is I will go months on it and months off bc I start feeling better but Im not!!

I think with most people who suffer from anxiety we struggle with medication cause we have so much fear of "what if"..I have taken lexapro in the past and it has helped it didnt make me feel any diffrent but it did make me feel better..then i got the bright idea to stop and its hard to start getting back on it. Try it the mg in lexapro isnt very high at all.
