I used to have anxiety and panic but over the last few years have got much better with little or no symptoms really.

On the surface my life isn't stressful and I believe I am coping although if I am honest there are big things in my life I need and want to change that coud be building up huge stress.

Then a couple of weeks ago after a bad cold my eye started to twitch. I searched it on the internet and MS came up. I have been frightened of this before. Now my arms feel really, really heavy, weak, pins and needlely and crawling.

This is a new symptom for me - when I had severe anxiety before I never had or at least never paid attention to weak and heavy arms and legs. I hope it is just anxiety but I read somewhere that this can be how MS starts. I'm 30 and a woman and so that makes me think I could be the 1 in 1000. The other thing that worries me is that I read that the adrenal nerves are limited and no new symptoms can come up. And this is a new one to me. So I'm terrified it is MS. I'm so scared. I'm planning to book an appointment with the doctor to get it checked out tomorrow.

Can anyone reassure me?

I am no doctor, but i can tell you that these are truly not the only signs of MS....My husband has MS...his symtpoms are much different than yours....Anxiety plays a big part in whjat you are feling...I myself, get the tingling, crawling, even burning sensations in my body, perhaps your muscles are just tensed up...Anxiety puts such strain on the nervous system, that our body sensations seem and look like the signs of others illnesses/conditions such as MS. i know that my shoulders are always up to my ears...lol...I trust that your doctors appt. will go well for you tomorrow...If you are that concerened ask the doctor to do a MRI of the brain and i assure you that there are no leisons on your brain causing MS. Sweet sleep to you tonight... I pray GODS bleesings for you...

Yes stripey I will assure you I'm 95% sure that it is anxiety. You will cause more anxiety for yourself by reading about symptoms on the internet. Been there done that. Or looking things up in medical books. I used to do it all the time. Since being on here and finding out how it adds more stress/anxiety I seldom do it.

I wish you could have come on our prayer conference call tonite. We could have prayed for you. I pray right now that you stripey will have perfect peace and not worry any more about this. If you go to the doctor I pray he will have a good report and confirm the anxiety. I pray healing to you of anxiety and depression right now in Jesus name. Be at peace stripey and let us know how you're doing. Be sure to do your lessons and tapes/cds every day. You WILL get better.

Hey Patricia or anyone else, since you posted the same time as me which my time really is l0:45 and not 8:44 how do I change the time? Someone told me once how to do it but I don't know. I guess it's not a real big deal just if someone knows it would be helpful.

Hey Stripey, good to see you on here again. I just posted in the spiritual section something I shared on the call tonight. I titled it Proper response to affliction. It might be helpful and that way you could still feel like you were part of the call. I'll keep praying for you. Yes, tears are a language God understands. I cry so easy too. Lately I feel like I've been crying a river. lol

please do not cry...I can assure you that you are just fine.....MS has such different symptoms, i promise you, i live with my husband everyday. my husband has the early signs but has had it for 7 years..Since he was 35....he is now 42...and progressive-remissive...Forget the on line symtoms, my neighbor also has it....Generally its not heavy arms,etc..Its cramping that is so severe your body can't move or paralyzes...Trust me, please....What you have is anxiety, i know i have the same feelings you do, feels as if insects are crawling, right? tingling, muscle aches and pains? also sorts of sensations.....MS is more weakness and when i state weakness, i mean, dragging your legs, feet, etc. numbness for MS is different than MS with anxiety....Please be reassured, YOU ARE OK...Go for the MRI if need be, but i trust that is NOT what you have, NOT MS!

Patricia...

Barb-
