Hey everyone....sothe last few weeks have been real rough. Found out I need surgery..not major..just a D&C but still...im scared..then a few days ago I lost my job. ah!!! I know it was for the best losing this job because it was a bunch of high strung wackos...but still...it really made me feel unworthy.
Now...I just got a call from the hospital..from the presurgery people....and I am freaking out so bad because they asked all these questions..and are telling me to bring my inhaler...just in case...well just in case what@?...im just real nervous..it just seems like ever since I had this anxiety kick in..everything is magnefied!!
I need to some uplifting thoughts...has anyone else ever felt this scared??

Hi -
Just take some deep breaths, sweetie. Everyhting will be OK. It is the job of the people at the hospital to tell you all the "worst case scenarios"...I think sometimes they actually read them off a script!

I can totally see how that would freak us anxiety-prone types out though.
You said yourself that this was not major surgery. Just try listening to the relxation cd some today and then thinking about those breathing/relaxing techniques tomorrow at the hospital/doctor's office.
As for the job situation...I'm sorry. I would feel rejection too, but try to remember that you are better off without them. It doesn't sounds like it was the best working environment for you anyhow - and now you'll have a few days off to recover from this procedure!
I'll remember you in my prayers tomorrow.
Best,
Dawn

I wish you the best and before you know it, surgery will be over and you will be relieved and
relaxing!!
And as far as the job is concerned, it maybe a blessing in disguise & you can find a better job without wackos!

I use to get like this before certian things and have a proacedure on the 27th of this month which my doctor said the worst part would be the IV. Heck, those don't bother me, I am still focused on the camera down my throat if you ask me.
As being one who does not like to throw up, I am hoping I don't gag and get sick on myself, but, I am told I will be out cold. Of course, one friend says, "Oh, I was awake"
I was like, say what!!
Anyway, You'll be fine. I am quickly learning that these could happens have to be reported, but are so rare, it serves no purpose other than to scare us.

All of your comments are making me more and more relaxed..im not the only one out there that freaks out about this stuff...Its so stupid too..I just had this same procedure alittle over a year ago. I didnt freak out then at all! I was actually excited to get off of work and be babied for once haha. That was before I let my mind take over and freak me out so easily.
