Hi,
I've been in CBT for 15 years now and started Session 1 today. I felt disappointed listening to 'how great the program is' because that was all on the jump start video and I already am well aware of the short information that Session 1 provides. I don't feel like I can stand to listen to this audio all week long...can I start on the guidebook...or go to session 2? Please help.

Hi, I just started the program today and felt abit the same way. It's as if I want to get to the nitty gritty right away. I guess it's always better to begin at square one and work from there. I plan to keep at it and have a + attitude that this will help. Good luck

You will definitely get more from it each week. I think Week 1 is for people who are new to CBT and not really familiar with anxiety. For me, it was great because I had just come to accept that what I had was truly anxiety. I was in denial for a long time. If you are already familiar with your symptoms, then move on to session 2... but I would really recommend doing the relaxation tapes everyday, even twice a day if you can. I really think it helps your body reduce the excess adrenalin. I am in week 10 and having great results with the program. Good Luck to you and hang in there!
