Hi anxiety271981,
First, let me welcome you to the forum. You will find support, encouragement, and learn a lot about a lot of things that may help you.
I want you to realize that you at least recognize that you are ahead of the curve. You at least recognize that you are suffering from Panic/Anxiety disorder that may lead to depression and also that you need help. Even if it took you some time to recognize that you need help; It is never too late.
Now, try to remain calm. First, learn do some controlled breathing exercises. Take a deep breath in from your nose for a 1001, 1002 count. Hold that breath for 1001, 1002 count. Let your breath out of your mouth for 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004. Repeat this several times, and keep doing this until get begin to feel you are getting control of your heart beat. It may take a few minutes, but keep doing this until you are able to feel relaxed.
I want you think about what it is that is really bothering you. What is it that could be so terrible?
Think about what you were doing that seemed to cause or trigger the sense of panic that you feel.
See if you can rate from 1-10, the sense of panic that you feel or felt. Is it really that bad?
I can't send you a copy of the relaxation tape that comes with the program, but I will try to guide you through, as best I can. You need to remind yourself that it is just a panic attack. There is really nothing wrong with you. You are a good person. God unconditionally Loves you. You can overcome this problem with the proper tools.
Right now you may not be able to afford the program, but you have your peers here to try to help you.
Just remember that we are not professional counselors, but are learning to cope and learning to try to help ourselves change for a better life, just like you want to do. One that teaches us that we are not alone. We can learn to conquer this problem one moment at a time; after all, that is all we have. What may be in our past is water over the damn, and there is little we can do about that. What is in our future is yet to come. So all we have is our now. Our moment. How do you want to live that moment?
Panic attacks are triggered by our thoughts. Can we control our thoughts? Truly, we can!
You have to learn more about yourself, what are the thoughts that are giving you all this grief? When we realize that we are having the thoughts that lead to the spiral of a panic attack, we need to change our thoughts to some other thing that will help us distract our negative thoughts that lead to that spiral and distract the thoughts with some other activity. Such as, relaxation breathing, some physical activity, exercise, singing, dancing, laughing, playing a game, reading, or listening to some relaxation music.
Here is a link to a source of relaxation music:

If you feel that you would like to write me via email, my email is available via my profile page. I do not stay up late, but I do check on my email several times during the day, and if you write me, I will write you back.
If you need to talk to me, I will give you my cell number. If you can not stay on the phone line because of the expense, I will call you back if it is at a reasonable time. I will be a friend to you and help you get through as best as I can.
Now, try the things I mentioned here and see if that helps at least for a few moments in time.
May God Bless you and keep you safe in all you do and wherever you go, and may he send you a help mate to get you through whenever, I am unable to. I pray that you are okay with my praying for you.
Again, breathe easy and controlled as I shared with you earlier. You can do this, one moment at a time.
BTW, whenever you are posting a comment or response, copy your comments or reply by right clicking in the window selecting, select all, then right clicking again and selecting copy. then click on the post now button.
