Hi. I'd been doing okay for about a month now and then bam. I got ANOTHER viral infection and of course my anxiety kicks in full force. I worry about missing work, missing pay, not being able to move into our new house, etc. I woke up this morning and was completely evaluating each and every little twinge and ache and I keep looking at my throat to SEE if it's better and I keep checking my temperature, etc. I can't let it go. And of course, I keep having panic attacks and an upset tummy.

I just need some encouragemet this morning. I know I'll get through it (I always have before) but I think being physically sick makes me more vulnerable to the negative thoughts. Help.

Thank you!!

Hang in there! I know it gets tough, but keep changing those negative "what-if" thoughts to positive ones! What if you get better?! What if you have a wonderful day?! Sickness comes and goes, try and remind yourself that it is all normal and a part of living! You can and WILL get through this!

Hello Keeping The Faith,

I totally understand what you are going through and yes, you will come through. I, too have been dealing with either virus issues or allergy - hard to tell sometimes. :? But I know - this too shall pass. It's just a little bump in the road to your recovery. You will keep going forward. Don't forget to look up - you're not alone. ;)

Hi there-

I hope you are feeling better today. Think of this as a "challenge" and you'll do great. Take care of you physically by sleeping and drinking liquids, and take care of you mentally by doing the same and letting the virus run it's course. It's amazing to me how such a tiny thing can make you feel so crummy. Biology is so cool.

Hi

Illness can be such a trigger. We become so hypersensitive to our bodies as well as the environment. My latest bout with anxiety and panic was triggered with my discovery of diabetes. It's taken a while - but its getting better. Be sure that you will get better. Keep the faith!!!

Hey Bobpriest, I know the feeling when your health is affected. There is no doubt that this is a cause for anxiety and depression. I just had a test and was diagnosed with neuropathy. This causes numb and tingling legs and feet. I had a test for diabetes as this is a probable cause. It was negative. I had a dopler test for circulation and that was supposedly alright. Talked to another Dr. and was told that the problem is my heart. It could be a faulty pacemaker or by all the medications I'm taking. I will find out Monday. I can appreciate how you must feel. Like me, hang in there and never give up hope. For a positive thought, there are many people worse off then you and me. It will get better if we want.
