I think we all know that the mind can be very complicated at times when we are trying to recover from anxiety disorder. I have found that the more I study the thought process and get better at understanding of how the subconcious mind works, it has given me more understanding and motivation to practice thought replacement.
I know that all of my negative thinking is causing all of my anxiety and depression although at first was very hard for me to believe! I know that reprogramming my mind into a positive thinker is the way to recovery.
I have started reading the book "The Power of the Subconcious Mind" by Joseph Murphy, PH. D.
It is a wonderful book on understanding how the concious and subconcious mind works. Once your subconcious mind accepts an idea, it will believe it to be true, whether it is good or bad and it becomes a habbit. So that is how I got so negative by not even knowing it. It is so funny to hear all the negative people talking and they all think they are all very positve thinkers. They want to believe they are anyway.
The key is to reprogram your subconcious mind is by telling it over and over positive things to make it a good habbit. Your subconcious mind can make a habbit in about a month with true conviction, but we all know that changing the way we think will have setbacks so will probably take much longer. By learning this, it has givin me more inspiration when I thought I had none.
I have had a good start of a tunring point on using positive self talk with a long way to go.
One issue that I have found that is very hard on my progress is trying to deal with relationship issues and are very difficult for sensitive and emotional people like us. I actully was in a relationship that was ended or put on hold for a while because of issues in both of our lives right now. This happened yesturday and I was a emotional mess all day and it still hurts very bad since I love this gal very much and would do anything for her. I find myself obsessing about her quite a bit and very hard to keep in the present moment. I should not even be upset since she has brushed me off so many times but it is crazy what you will do if you truley love someone.
I am doing pretty good with everyday things but very emotional issues like this is very hard. I keep telling myself that I am going through probably one of the most difficult times in my life so of course I'm anxious. I know that it is also about trying to be less affected too but that is a hard one when you really love someone and can't be with them.
Does anyone else find that relationship problems are the hardest thing to deal with?
Thanks and good luck!
