I've been having a really hard time lately with bad obsessive thoughts and hypochondriasis. I just sold my house and am now going through the process of changing everything over. I have to give my notice at my job this week and I am really nervous. The funny thing is, is this is supposed to be a positive move for me and my husband. We are relocating to a new state (which is exciting and scary) but I have never done anything like this. I think I am using the hypochondriasis as a substitute for concentrating on what I really need to focus on which is all these big changes. Any thoughts, support, advice would be great because I keep saying to my husband, "I don't know if I am going to make it through this. I feel so crazy." Thanks!

You will make it through this . Even positive things can cause anxiety. It depends if you think about it as excitement or scary? Try not to think about it more than you have to and most important GO WITH THE FLOW. ACCEPTANCE is the key !!! No matter what happens you will be ok . GO FOR IT !!!

Hi there!
Of course you'll make it through!
This could be one of the greatest adventures you've ever experienced.
Moving is hard work, but can be very rewarding.

It can be a new beginning. It is a chance to throw away those old things that are just taking up space. A chance to cut down to the simple and less exacting.

A lot of it is in the atitude. The expectancy of new exciting things!

Oh , I know lesson four teaches us to curtail our expectations. But that can work two ways.
We can cut out or expectations of dread and all
negative aspects.

You can go on the computer and read up on many things about your new state.

Try thinking of it as a prolonged vacation, if you will.

Think of all the new little nooks and corners that you can expleore in furture months.

Try to have fun with this.
My best to you!
MJ

Congratulations on such a big step labourg! It's no wonder you're feeling anxious. Just look at all that is happening around you. Give yourself permission to feel this way. There's nothing wrong, it's just that you have a lot to take care of. Try focussing on a list of things you need to get done for the move. Maybe this will help you stay busy and get things done. You will be ok through all of this!
