I'm 24 years old. I have had really bad problems with anxiety for the last 2 years. I got better for a year and then bad again, but not as bad as the first time.I've always wanted to travel and I told myself that I was going to do it. So in 3 months I am off to Italy for a month..I'm not freaking out yet..haha.but instead, I'm doing everything that is within my power to better myself. The anxiety causes me to have problems eating, because I feel like I'm chocking, but I wont make any excuses not to travel. I'm doing it.!!! I don't want to live like this, I want to do the things I was born to do...efff anxiety!!

wow-- have a great time.

I bet it will be OK, even if you have anxiety in Italy. You can still breathe and relax and sit in the sun and go to a museum to distract yourself, etc. All the stuff you would do at home.

I'm proud of you for going for it even tho' you aren't perfect.

"E 'impossibile essere infelici in Italia".
It is impossible to be unhappy in Italy!

This is what it is all about... deciding to live life DESPITE anxiety. Push through and have a great time! Of course you will have some anticipatory anxiety but, like Lucinda says, see it as excitement, not something bad.

I hear it is just beautiful and to get to stay an entire month? Wow... A trip of a lifetime!

On Monday I'm flying to San Francisco and staying for a week..as of now I have it together..lol..I just want to inspire others to do the same. Just a year ago I couldnt do anything. I couldnt even be at a class for an hour, I always had really bad anxiety with me 24/7. Im going for walks everyday, keeping positive, doing yoga, and working hard to have a positive outlook in life,,it does take a lot to be positive because I had become so used to the constant anxiety, but Im just focusing on my goal in life, and that is to be happy and do the things I want to do. I dont want to get old and look back and count all the things that I wanted to do but was not able to do, I want to get old and look back at pictures of all the places I went and feel satisfied with what I did with life..=D..
