Tonight my throat is feeling really odd. I think it is asthma acting up or gerd.

It is a bit uneasy. I am practicing my breathing right now and trying to think of something else.

I just thought writing for a for minutes might help.

How is everyone else tonight?

How is your new year going so far?

Beth -

Keep reminding yourself it's just anxiety. You'll be just fine like you always are!

So far the new year has been treating me well. I'm getting my hours back up at work and expanding my boundaries. I'm really looking forward to getting back to a normal life where the first thing I think of is not "but what if I get nervous".

Take care and be calm,
Jamie

My throat has felt weird before too. Mine feels kinda puffy and swollen. When I fixate on it, it becomes so much more worse and I start to panic. I have found that drinking water helps.

I also have taken up knitting because it distracts the brain from my anxieties. My pastor has done a lot of research on anxiety disorder and he said that knitting is one of the best things because it uses both your right and left side of the brain making you get your mind off anxiety.

Hope this helps - you aren't alone!

Ms Lisa Thankyou for your tips. Is it hard to learn to knit?

I like to sew maybe sewing will do the same thing.

When I start to have an attack I will go and sew quilt squares.

Lump in my throat has always been my thing with panic attacks! The breathing really helps me, I breath in for 2 sec and say peace to myself and out for 4 sec and say clam. For some reason it helps everytime!
Good luck!!
Take Care!!

I bought a book that teaches you how to knit. It is harder than I thought but I didn't mind because it really took my mind off of the anxiety I was feeling.
Good luck!!! :-D
