I have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the last 3 weeks. My initial glucose numbers were very high ( almost 600) and have been brought down to a good level. In that time, however, I began suffering anxiety and panic following a few episodes of low blood sugar that seemed like panic. Because of this the anxiety that was under very good control ( no symptoms for over 6 months) have returned. Any suggestions??

Bob,
My husband was diagnosed with Type2 in 2002. It was quite a shock for him as well. He had no idea he had a sugar problem, and was having symptoms but didn't have a clue what was causing his symptoms, till he was tested.
Im sure your doctor has put you on meds, Now, do reasearch, find out what you can and can't eat, get exercise, take good care to moniter your blood sugar by testing daily.
Try to relax, and use the skills of the program to calm yourself. You will have a long productive life, its just a wake up call , to take better care of YOU!!!! Nelly :)
