Anyone have a recommendation for meds for seasonal allergies? I take Xanax and don't want to add anything that will make me drowsy.
Thanks for any input.

Samcat -
I take Claritin (or one of the generic store brand versions) and it works pretty well for me without causing excess drowsiness.
Be sure to AVOID Benadryl or any other medication with the same active ingredient. It definitely can have a sedating effect. In fact, I sometimes use it to help me sleep at night!
Also, be sure to AVOID Sudafed or any other medication with the same active ingredient. It can cause the opposite effect and cause anxiety and nervousness.
If you're not sure what will work best, just talk to your pharmacist. Let them know that you're dealing with anxiety and are taking Xanax. They should be able to help you find a suitable medication for your allergies. If you can't get to the pharmacy, then give them a call.
