These are my What if thoughts...

What if I develop schizophrenia?
What if this is something more than anxiety?
what if im not having panic attacks but having seizures?
What if I just wake up blind?
What if i hurt someone?
What if I hurt my future children?
What if I do something terrible to a child?
what if my husband is cheating on me?
What if I lost touch with reality?
What if I am possessed or something like that?
What if there is something horribly wrong and nobody will know until its too late?

I also tend to attach permanence to temporary situations...for example if my foot falls asleep ill think... What if my foot always feels this way and it never goes away?

What are yours?

I just had to add to this list:

What if Mallory woke up one day free from fear of going crazy..

What if Mallory made a "conscious" decision to stop running from her fears...

What if Mallory decided one day, not to give any weight to those negative thoughts...

What if Mallory faced those fears head on...

What if Mallory realizes that she is scaring her own self, and that statement really sunk in...

What if Mallory chooses to watch those negative thoughts float lazily by her, and decides to observe them, instead of, focusing on them...

What if Mallory overcame all of her fears???

I had noticed this posting had been here for a couple of days and no one had responded, so, I thought I would respond in a very unusual way!!!

Mallory you will overcome all of these fears...Have patience...God Bless

Almost EVERYONE has a certain amount of insanity and the ones that get scared of it are the only ones who cure it :)

Answers to your questions, Mallory...

You will never become a schizophrenic!!!

You are very healthy, and this is just anxiety!!

You are NOT having seizures..I thought that one for years!!!

You will not wake up blind!!! You have healthy vision!!! Another "irrational" thought!!!

You will never in your life hurt anyone!!!
You wouldn't be worried about hurting someone, if you were the type to do so, which I am 100% positive you are not!!!

You would never hurt your future children!!!
You would be the best mother ever, because that is just who you are!!!

You would never do something terrible to a child!!! You are a kind and compassionate young lady...Full of love!!!

Why in the world would your husband cheat on someone as beautiful, intelligent, and kind as you!!!

You will never lose touch with reality!!!
You are an intelligent human being who is suffering from anxiety, and panic attacks!!!

You are Not possessed!!! If you were possessed, then, you would know it...Another scary irrational thought...

There is nothing horribly wrong with you, so, you have no need to concern yourself with the (too late) part of the equation!!!

You are a beautiful, brilliant, healthy, compassionate, loving, COMPLETELY SANE human being who is suffering from anxiety and panic disorder!!!

BTW...Mallory, you really need to work on your "what ifs"....

You, also, need to replace these "what ifs" with the truth!!!

I, strongly, suggest that when these negative thoughts pop into your head that you replace each and every one of them, immediately, with the truth!!

You can do this by keeping a record of those "what ifs" and replacing them with the truth!!!

You are a very negative thinker...You can overcome this negative thinking, Mallory!!!

I suggest you read through all of my postings, since, I go into in depth detail in lots of them!!!

Remember to do away with the "what ifs"...Replace with "So what if"

Just because a thought pops into your mind, that doesn't make it real!!! We can think anything...Thoughts are just thoughts...

You are not your thoughts, Mallory...You are your actions!!!

So, please make it your #1 priority to work really hard on these things that are holding you back...

Mallory you can do this...If I can, then, anyone can!!! God Bless
