Hi Angela,

Yeah, I have the numbness in my face from time to time. I always think I ma having a stroke! I'm not though...it is likely from hyperventilation, especially if it happens around the mouth. It is one of my scariest symptoms but just another joy of anxiety! :p

Labourg is right, that feeling is just anxiety. I used to have the same feeling with my lips. I could not feel a glass on my mouth or a fork going in my mouth. It is just plain old fashion anxiety. As labourg stated, its probably the hyperventilating. Try to just remember that it is "just anxiety, it won't hurt you" when you feel that way.
