Hi, just wondering if anyone has ever fainted or just got really woosy feeling when they had a panic attack? I have fainted a few times, but all three times my thyroid was really low. That is what my biggest fear is all the time. So you would think that knowing the thyroid was off all 3 times would convince me, well I'm still not convinced 100%. Sometimes it seems the adrenaline rush is so strong it just makes me either faint or woosy. Can anyone relate?

No, my panic attacks - when I had them (it's been almost two years since I've had one, thanks to the session on panic attacks!) - never made me faint. There's definitely an adrenaline rush with panic attacks, though I bet it was your low thyroid level that pushed you into the faint.
Also, what's the worst that could happen if you do faint? You'll wake up, and you'll be okay. Maybe if you try to tell yourself that, even if you do faint, you WILL be fine, it might help.

I do get very dizzy to the point where I feel like I may faint on numerous occassions during an attack. I think it's just a normal reaction. Sit down, take some deep breaths and drink some water. Hopefully you'll feel better. I can understand how scared you must feel. I also suffer from thyroid disease. What is wrong with us???
