I've been going on vacations since I was a little kid. Im currently 26 btw. Last year I went to Colorado and loved it. This year my stress level has increased, being I had to put my dog to sleep and my father had a heart attack (I took him to the hospital).

So this year me my mother and sister and her friend went to Myrtle Beach. I was a little anxious, but ok. Once we got out of the airport I felt the humidity and heat. Wow I was not expecting high tempetures being Im from Chicago and currently its like 75-80 here. Anyways I felt ok day one. Day 2 we picked up my moms friend, went out and grabbed a bit to eat all was fine (little anxious). We went and saw the alabama theatre "One." There was a comedian and he was talking to people in the crowed which made me a little uncomfortable.

The next day we went to a plantation farm tour. Everything in this house we went into was kept as it was (during the civil war) no lights, (No air conditioning) etc. So right away I had a panic attack being in this house with a group of people thinking I was going to pass out from the heat, so I excused myself left the house and went outside to get fresh air. Right away I started to feel better so I went into the car and turn the air on and waited for the tour to end. Let me remind you it was 90+ degrees that day plus the heat inside the house. I was pretty embarassed when my mothers friend asked what happened as she was the only one who wasent aware of my anxiety disorder.

The rest of the vacation my allergies went insane and I was just miserable. We did other things but I was always in fear of going outside after that experience inside the hot house tour. It was such a relief to come home, I felt like such a party pooper on the vacation : (

Sorry you are going thru so many changes in your life. Some sad and some good. You are facing your fears and taking care of yourself. I am not a fan of heat at all or muggy weather and I think I would have done the same thing you did.Sorry your allergies acted up so badly! That is no fun but you made it thru it all and I bet it gets easier and easier everytime? You mentioned you did other things? Like what? I bet it was fun.
Take Care..I wish I could do as much as you did.

Well it sounds interesting to me seeing how my world consists of about a 6 mile radius from my home. I hope to be going more soon.
